Best production operator chosen at Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk

The Komsomolskoye gas production facility of Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk hosted the annual professional skills contest for the title of the Best Oil and Gas Production Operator.

The contest consisted of two rounds – theoretical and practical – with two operators participating from each of the company’s five production facilities, namely, Vyngapurovskoye, Komsomolskoye, Zapadno-Tarkosalinskoye, Gubkinskoye and Vyngaiakhinskoye.

Following the contest results, the first place was awarded to Igor Romanchuk, oil and gas production operator of the Zapadno-Tarkosalinskoye gas production facility. It was the third time he took part in the contest and he had been the awardee for two times already. The second prize was won by Oleg Sukharev, employee of the Gubkinskoye gas production facility, and Denis Klyzhko, representative of the Vyngapurovskoye gas production facility was the third.

“A contest is a contest: there are winners and there are those who need to work a little bit harder, improve the theoretical knowledge and gain more experience,” pointed out Alexey Kononov, Chief Engineer of Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk. “This year we had several leaders, but it was the experience that mattered. As for the bronze winner, the decision came down to a photo finish, and that was, the additional factor of time.”

The best oil and gas production operator was awarded a challenge trophy in a shape of a statuette on which his name would be engraved. In addition, Igor Romanchuk will get a pay rise and a promotion. He will also represent his company at the regional round of the We Glorify the Man of Labor contest.
