Over two thousand employees of Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod attended the environmental cleanup that took place across Russia on August 30 and 31.
In all of the company’s activity regions the gas workers cleaned the areas adjacent to the gas transmission system facilities as well as riversides, lakesides, parks and squares.
“We are sure that each of us can and should contribute to fighting for nature conservation,” believes Yury Arbuzov, First Deputy Director General, Chief Engineer of Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod.
In Nizhny Novgorod the gas workers joined the volunteers in the Kulibin Park and did a cleanup of the ‘Dom’ Center of Family and Children Support on their own, putting the Center premises in order, removing the construction wastes, painting the children’s playground and organizing a real celebration with presents and sweet treats for children.
According to the preliminary estimates, the gas workers collected over 200 tons of garbage during the cleanup.
