For the employees of Gazprom Transgaz Moscow branches the beginning of autumn was marked bytwo large-scale environmental campaigns.

On September 5 the employees of the Morshansk Line Pipe Operation Center, a branch company of Gazprom Transgaz Moscow, held another cleanup in the Vernadsky Memorial House Museum, Tambov Region. On the Museum territory covering about two hectares the park lanes were greened up, lawns and the waterside area were cleared of rubbish and the land was slated to become a leisure site near the pond.

On September 14 the team of young professionals from the Orel Line Pipe Operation Center, branch of Gazprom Transgaz Moscow, took part in the Russia-wide Let’s Do It Together! rubbish removal campaign in the Orel Region. The employees got rid of unauthorized waste dumps along country roads to the Mezenka and Dolgoye settlements and the Kalinovka village of the Orel District, as well as removed rubbish in the woodlands near these locations. 36 seedlings of red cedars were planted in the Pobedy Boulevard, Dolgoye settlement.

Background

Gazprom Transgaz Moscow, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom, delivers gas to consumers in 14 regions of European Russia as well as transits natural gas to the Commonwealth of Independent States and beyond. The total volume of the company’s gas supplies amounts to nearly 275 billion cubic meters per annum, with some 90 billion cubic meters of natural gas supplied to Russian consumers.

The company comprises 24 branches, including 17 line pipe operation centers, 23 compressor stations, 278 gas compressor units, 737 gas distribution stations as well as dispatch and control centers, 23 compressed natural gas filling stations. About 13 thousand people are employed in the company.
