On August 30 an exhibition opened in a new building of the Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy History Museum on the threshold of the Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day.
The renewed Museum has a display of objects relating to the history of the Yamal gas production industry, creation of the Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy gas production infrastructure and the construction of the Novy Urengoy town; cutting-edge multimedia technologies are employed. The Museum atrium has a unique map of the Russian gas network embracing the whole country and also featuring centers of hydrocarbons production, transmission and processing in Europe and Asia.
Taking part in the ceremony were Sergey Mazanov, Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy, Ivan Kostogriz, Head of the Novy Urengoy Administration, Nikolai Dubina, former Head of the Novy Urengoy Gas Production Directorate, and honorary guests. Sergey Mazanov pointed out in his speech that the Museum opening was the clear proof of the steady performance shown by the gas production company as well as of intense efforts made by its multi-thousand team.
Background
Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy is Gazprom’s wholly-owned subsidiary focused on natural gas, condensate and oil production, treatment of hydrocarbon feedstock and identification of the resource base. The company comprises 18 branches, including two gas production centers, with over 12 thousand people employed. The company complies with ISO 14001 environmental standards.
