Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan awards Dreams Come True competition grants

On August 31, as part of the celebrations dedicated to Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day, a solemn award ceremony took place for the winners of the Dream Come True show competition annually held by Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan among children’s creative and sports associations.

This year 37 associations received Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan grants. In the Perspective nomination 10 students of art schools were awarded grants for the participation in Russian and international art contests. In the Enthusiasts nomination 29 children’s amateur creative and sports associations became the competition awardees. 28 children’s teams from Astrakhan and the Astrakhan Region received the second- and third-place grants. The first-place grant was awarded to the ‘We’ Youth Theater-Studio folk group.

Awarding the certificates to the winners were Sergey Mikhailenko, Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan and Alexander Zhilkin, Governor of the Astrakhan Region.

According to Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan Sergey Mikhailenko, over the seven years of the Dreams Come True competition some 500 children’s creative groups have received the company’s monetary grants. “This means that the Region has an extremely high creative potential and rendering support to young talents and to those who unlock and develop their skills is one of the focal points of the company’s social policy,” he stressed.

The Governor of the Region pointed out in his turn that such projects as Dreams Come True were highly important and essential. “Such competitions are held regularly and this is indicative of the sustained development of socially-oriented programs in the Region. It is very nice that such company as Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan continues supporting them from year to year,” noted Alexander Zhilkin.
