Gazprom’s firefighting team takes part in international competitions

Gazprom’s firefighting team trained at Gazprom Gazobezopasnost took part in the 30th International Firefighting Championship in Poland. The Championship took place in Czestochowa from July 2 to 5.
Taking part in the competitions were sixteen teams from Polish provinces and six international teams from Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Russia. Our country was represented by Gazprom’s team comprised of representatives from six subsidiary companies.
Gazprom’s team finished third in the 4x100 meters fire-fighting relay with hot fluid extinguishing and was awarded a Cup, medals and a diploma.
Russian gas workers won the second place in climbing the scaling ladder to the window of the fourth floor of the drill tower. In the individual event in scaling ladder climbing Roman Vagner, sportsman of Gazprom’s team set the record of the international competitions, namely 12.9 seconds, thus winning the race.
Although it was the first time that Gazprom’s team took part in the international competitions, the Russian gas workers managed to win the fourth place in the team event outscoring the strongest teams from the Czech Republic and Lithuania.
