Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol won the competition for the best working conditions and labor protection among the companies of Stavropol. Valentina Zavgorodneva, the company’s Deputy Chief Engineer for Labor Protection, Industrial and Fire Safety won the first prize among the managers in this prestigious competition.

At the winners’ awarding ceremony Alexander Astanin, Chief Engineer – First Deputy Director General of the company and his Deputy Valentina Zavgorodneva were awarded diplomas. As Andrey Dzhatdoyev, Head of the Municipal Administration noted, there were a lot of excellent companies in the Stavropol Territory having their employees regularly undergo training in labor protection, assessing workplaces, evaluating occupational risks and preventing industrial injuries. However, Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol, which had on many occasions won the competitions, was an acknowledged leader among them.

Background

Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. The company maintains the line pipes running through 10 Russian Federation constituents and conveying some 70 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The gas pipelines length exceeds 7,900 kilometers.
