The overall gas production at the Astrakhan field has surpassed 200 billion cubic meters. The attained level resulted from great efforts of Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan on enhancing production efficiency: replacement and upgrade of the field equipment, commissioning of new process facilities and introduction of cutting-edge technologies for well repair. Particularly, three supplementary manifolds were mounted at the site of gas pretreatment unit No. 6 this year, thus allowing to connect new wells.
Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan provided centralized control of the Astrakhan gas complex. In 2012 the company completed the transition to full process automation including in production, transmission and processing. The gas complex efficiency will be further improved. The company will fulfill the strategy on creating an intelligent field allowing, inter alia, continuous optimization of the field control model and the entire process chain: from production to commercial output shipping.
Background
