Gazprom annually supports various social projects contributing to culture, science and education development and promulgation of a healthy lifestyle.
A dancing group entitled “Uzory” (“The Patterns”) from the Ivanovskoye Gas Pipeline Operation Center (a branch of Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod) won first prize at the Sun Circle international talent competition, which took place on January 25–26 in the city of Vladimir.
On January 10, Nadym (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area) once again hosted a charity concert entitled Christmas Evenings.
On November 30 and December 1, Saratov hosted the All-Russian Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Competition. The tournament took place at the Zvezdny sports and recreation center with financial and organizational support from Gazprom Transgaz Saratov.
On November 16, actors from the Piano Theater for deaf children performed a play for hard-of-hearing children at correctional school No. 117 in Samara as part of the Children to Children charity project supported by Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod.
On November 1, the Fakel Cultural and Sports Complex in Noyabrsk hosted an open tournament for the Dancesport Cup of Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk. The competition drew some 100 athletes from Novy Urengoy, Muravlenko, and Noyabrsk.
On October 6, the 12th “We Are Just Like You!” Olympiad for children with special needs was held in Sakhalin with support from Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk.
A music and visual art performance entitled “Imperial Capitals: St. Petersburg – Vienna. 20th Century” took place today at the Grand Hall of the Dmitry Shostakovich St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonia. The event was held as part of the joint cultural project of Gazprom and Austria's OMV.
On September 12, a karate competition came to a close at the 12th Open All-Russian Youth Martial Arts Games in Anapa. Athletes from the Shotokan Transgaz Stavropol sports club won 15 medals at the tournament.
On September 4–7, Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta hosted the final round of its Summer Spartakiada Games.
On August 21, the St. Petersburg Yacht Club held the award ceremony for the winners and participants of the Optimists of the Northern Capital. Gazprom Cup regatta – Russia's largest national children's sports tournament, which has been held since 2012 by the St. Petersburg Yacht Club and the Sailing Academy with support from Gazprom and Gazprom Transgaz Saint Petersburg.
On August 8, gas industry workers from Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol held an environmental quest as part of the #TogetherBrighter 2019 All-Russian Energy Conservation Festival.
Young employees of Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg have for the fourth time held a charity event to support the patients of the Children's Oncology and Hematology Center of Regional Children's Hospital No. 1 in Yekaterinburg.
The Silk Way International Rally 2019 came to a close today in the city of Dunhuang, China. The gas-powered KAMAZ crew led by Sergey Kupriyanov finished among the top five in the truck category.
Irkutsk hosted the opening of the Silk Way International Rally 2019. Gazprom is a general partner in the project. This year, the race will traverse Russia (Eastern Siberia), Mongolia, and China.
On June 22, the second extreme cross-country run named At the Limit took place in the Pangody settlement (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area), gathering 140 athletes in 35 teams from seven subsidiaries of Gazprom: Gazprom Dobycha Nadym, Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy, Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg, Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk, Gazprom Pererabotka, Gazprom Energo, and Novy Urengoy Gas Chemical Complex.
Pupils of the Shotokan Transgaz Stavropol sports club won four medals at the JKA European Championships 2019 in the eastern martial art Shotokan, which were taking place from May 25 to 26 in the Czech city of Kadan. The tournament, held under the auspices of the Japan Karate Association (JKA), gathered together karate fighters from 19 European countries.
On May 26, a charity bike ride took place at the Spartak stadium in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk as part of the Children's Hearts social project implemented by Gazprom Dobycha Shelf Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Over 30 employees of the company participated in the event with their family members. Donations were collected during the registration for the ride.
On April 21, the 19th Plasticine Crow National Children's Arts Festival concluded in Saransk with a big gala concert. The team of the Torbeyevskoye Gas Pipeline Operation Center, branch of Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod, had taken part in the festival.
On April 13–14, Novy Urengoy hosted the 7th round of the 2019 Russian Snocross Championship and Tournament organized by the National Russian Motorcycle Federation. After the final round of the competition, the Fakel sports and technical club of Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy was declared the winner of the Russian Snocross Championship in team standings.
The traditional handing over of the trophy cups won in ice yacht tournaments by the Gazprom Racing Team to Georgy Fokin, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Saint Petersburg, took place at the company's head office on April 1, 2019.
Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod has acquired and installed special sensory and motor tools in a classroom for children on the autistic spectrum at School No. 134 in Nizhny Novgorod. On March 21, the company's employees together with the school's pupils completed the assembly of the classroom tools.
On March 17, the Gazprom-Ugra futsal club won its fourth Russian Cup title in Yugorsk, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra.
From February 27 to March 1, Pushkin Children’s Health Center in Astrakhan hosted the inclusive charity festival I’m Just Like You. The festival was organized by Gazprom, Gazprom Energo and Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan, with the assistance of OGK-2. The project brought together over 100 children from 15 different institutions, including schools, a cadet school, and boarding schools for children with special learning needs.
On February 16, the Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk Spartakiada Games 2019 kicked off the new sports season with an opening ceremony at the Zenit sports and health complex. This year, 16 teams will vie for the cup of the Spartakiada Games in 14 sports disciplines.
On February 1, the Gazovik sports complex in Tatishchevo, Perevolotsky District, hosted a children’s volleyball tournament sponsored by Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg. The tournament brought together five school volleyball teams.
From December 31 to January 8, Irkutsk once again hosted concerts entitled Christmas Evenings with Denis Matsuev and Friends, with Gazprom Dobycha Irkutsk as a long-standing partner.
On December 16, Novy Urengoy hosted the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area Snocross Championship and Tournament. The competition, which was dedicated to the memory of Andrey Ushakov, featured some 60 racers from sports and engineering clubs based in Nadym, Novy Urengoy, Muravlenko, and Surgut.
On November 9, the northern zonal round of the 8th corporate Fakel Festival of Gazprom concluded with a festive ceremony in Yekaterinburg.
On September 28, Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol hosted a major contest in the Ryzdvyany settlement, Stavropol Territory, with the backing of the company’s primary trade union.
On September 5, a football match celebrating the 65th anniversary of Gazprom Transgaz Ufa took place at the Neftyanik stadium in Ufa. The company’s team squared off against sportscasters from the Match TV channel.
On August 6, Evgeny Pashuk, Head of the Equipment and Structures Diagnostics Service at the Engineering Center of Gazprom Transgaz Makhachkala, climbed the western summit of Mount Elbrus (5,642 meters above sea level), the tallest mountain in Russia and Europe, with his son Alexander. The alpinists dedicated their achievement to Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day.
The Romanian city of Oradea hosted the 18th European Youth Rapid & Blitz Championship for chess players on August 1–4. Upwards of 350 participants under 18 years of age from 12 countries of the Old World competed in six age brackets. Russia was represented by 19 contestants.
On June 18, the annual competition of environmental services among Gazprom’s subsidiaries was held. Based on the results of 2017, the environmental service of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol emerged as the winner and Galina Fedchenko, the company’s Lead Environmental Engineer, was named best ecologist.
Tomskavtogaz, a branch of Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk, held an event to celebrate International Children’s Day. The company’s employees arranged a children’s tour at a compressed natural gas (CNG) filling station on Vysotskogo Street in Tomsk.
On January 11–18, Ufa hosted the All-Russian Tennis Tournament held with support from Gazprom Transgaz Ufa. The tournament brought together over 60 participants up to 15 years old from across the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as from Moscow, Sochi, Izhevsk, Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk, and Samara.
On December 17, the first practical session of the Secrets of Beauty and Creativity museum workshop for children with disabilities was held in Saratov. The training course consisting of 10 classes was developed by the Radishchev State Art Museum with support from Gazprom Transgaz Saratov.
On November 29, the award ceremony for EcoWorld, an international environmental prize, took place at the Central House of Scientists in Moscow. The top place in the 2019 edition of this prestigious competition went to a unique environmental project of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol.
The St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum hosted a special screening of “Russia from Above,” a documentary made by German filmmakers with support from the Gazprom Group.
On October 20, the world 6v6 football championship for amateur teams came to a close in Greece. The victory in the world tournament was won by the Russian team featuring employees of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol.
On October 4, Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod hosted the third stage of the Youth Team Games for the Cup of the Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod Profsoyuz united primary trade union organization.
Elena Burmistrova, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Director General of Gazprom Export, and Helga Rabl-Stadler, President of the Salzburg Festival, today signed at the 9th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum a sponsoring agreement for a Russian opera to be staged during the Salzburg Festival's 100-year anniversary celebrations in 2020.
On September 12, a concert of the New Names of Priangarye 2019 charity foundation took place at the Irkutsk Regional Philharmonic. At the concert, talented musicians from the Irkutsk Region received gift certificates for musical instruments from Gazprom.
On September 6, the 14th Warmth of Children's Hearts Festival concluded in the Samorodovo camp in Orenburg. As usual, the event was organized by the non-profit partnership Gazprom in Orenburg.
On August 11–16, the Constellation Festival, Gazprom Transgaz Moscow's corporate event for creators and performers, took place in the Kursk Region.
In early August, a renovated children's playground opened in the Morki settlement, Republic of Mari El, with the support of Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod.
On July 18, the Astrakhan State Art Gallery named after Pavel Dogadin launched the anniversary season of the art project named 'Museum Courtyard 2019' in Astrakhan. Since its creation, the project, which unites admirers of music, painting, literature and art of declamation, has attracted about eight thousand Astrakhan citizens of all ages.
On July 9–14, the International Children's Games were held in the capital of Bashkortostan, bringing together over 1,500 athletes, coaches and guests from 29 countries.
On July 4, the results of the activities held as part of the Green Spring 2019 national environmental cleanup were summarized at Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk. The company implemented 99 environmental initiatives, and over 2,000 employees took part in the events organized within the Green Spring action.
On June 8, employees of Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy joined the Green Spring 2019 national environmental cleanup, an annual event arranged by the Vernadsky Nongovernmental Ecological Foundation and the All-Russian Society for Nature Protection.
The Lyons Hall of the Catherine Palace at the Tsarskoe Selo State Museum Preserve (Pushkin, St. Petersburg) was reopened today after a restoration carried out with the support from Gazprom and the ENGIE Foundation (France).
The final round of the 8th corporate Fakel Festival run by Gazprom came to a close in Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi. Taking part in the Festival were delegations representing 39 subsidiaries of Gazprom from Russia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan, together with performers from CNPC (China).
From April 24 to 26, Makhachkala hosted the 9th Spartakiada Games of Gazprom Transgaz Makhachkala marking the company's 40th anniversary.
From April 5 to 7, the Norwegian city of Stavanger hosted the 24th JKA European Championships in the eastern martial art Shotokan Karate-do. Stanislav Kiryanov, a member of the Shotokan Transgaz Stavropol sports club, made a strong showing in the competition.
On March 27, within the framework of the business program of the Oil.Gas.Energo exhibition in Orenburg, the leaders of 16 oil and gas companies signed an Agreement to ensure environmental safety at the Orenburgskoye oil, gas and condensate field, in the area of the Orenburg industrial hub, and in the adjacent territories.
On March 21, 2019, the State Russian Museum began the restoration of “Holy Rus,” a famous painting by the great artist Mikhail Nesterov. The initiative is supported by Gazprom.
An exhibition entitled “Treasures from the Palace Museum: The Flourishing of China in the 18th Century” opened today at the Moscow Kremlin Museums. The exhibition was organized with the support of Gazprom.
An opening ceremony for Gazovichok, a new kindergarten in Nadym, took place on March 3. Taking part in the ceremony were Dmitry Artyukhov, Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, Leonid Dyachenko, Head of the Nadymsky District, Dmitry Ponomarenko, Deputy Head of Department at Gazprom, and Sergey Menshikov, Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym.
Gazprom Transgaz Ufa, the Ministry of Family Affairs, Labor and Social Welfare of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and the Breaking Barriers Social Technologies Center looked back at the results of the eponymous inter-regional social project in 2018.
On February 3, the Molodost sports center in Nadym hosted the opening ceremony of the 2019–2020 season of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym’s Spartakiada Games: the 19th Employees’ Spartakiada Games, the 8th Children’s Spartakiada Games, and the 6th Executives’ Spartakiada Games.
On December 17, 2018, an award ceremony for the Energy of Modern Russia national photography contest took place at the Ministry of Energy in Moscow. The event was attended by Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation.
On December 1, members of the Shotokan Transgaz Stavropol sports club returned from the European Shotokan Karate-do Championship, a martial arts tournament held in Nis, Serbia.
On October 14, the southern zonal round of Gazprom’s corporate Fakel Festival held its opening ceremony in Kazan.
On September 11, the winners and participants of the 2018 edition of the New Names of Priangarye Festival were granted gift certificates for musical instruments on behalf of Gazprom. The award ceremony took place at the 13th Stars on Baikal International Classical Music Festival in the concert hall of the Irkutsk Regional Philharmonic.
In late August, more than 2,000 employees of Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod got together for the annual Green Russia environmental cleanup arranged by the Vernadsky Non-Governmental Ecological Foundation with support from Gazprom.
On August 18–19, a tourist convention for children and youth organized by the employees of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov took place in the Alexandrovo-Gaisky District of the Saratov Region. The event was supported by the district administration and brought together some 100 participants, including over 30 children from the Alye Parusa (Scarlet Sails) summer day camp for children from large and low-income families. The convention sought to promote tourism along with active and healthy lifestyles, to educate children and youth in environmental matters, to spark their interest in history and local lore, and to popularize the most in-demand professions in the gas industry.
On July 8, the Rus recreation center in the town of Tchaikovsky hosted a regional rowing championship for kayaks, canoes and dragon boats. The competition involved nine teams from sports clubs based in the Perm Territory. The team of Gazprom Transgaz Tchaikovsky was represented by the company’s Corporate Security Service (CSS).
On June 15–17, Orenburg hosted the final round of the 2017–2018 season of the national Men’s Premier League table tennis championship.
On January 17, the Pristine Russia Nationwide Nature Festival was launched at Gostiny Dvor in Moscow.
On December 16, the creative team of the Council of Young Scientists and Professionals from Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk presented a play entitled “Who Wants a Second Helping?” based on the piece “A Vos Souhaits” (“Bless You”) by French author Pierre Chesnot. The event took place in Noyabrsk as part of the Year of Theater.
Employees of Gazprom Dobycha Krasnodar and the Caucasus Biosphere Reserve released 118,000 fingerlings of common carp into the Bolshoy Milashevsky Liman in the Slavyansky District of the Krasnodar Territory.
Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk held its 7th Family Spartakiada Games. This time, the competition featured 13 teams representing gas production facilities and service subdivisions of the company. Each family team consisted of a father, a mother, and a child under 13 years old.
On October 4, a conference for education specialists took place at the Culture Center in Ukhta. As usual, the conference was accompanied by the awarding of diplomas to the winners of the Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta prize and the granting of money certificates for academic performance, proactive attitude, and participation and victories in academic competitions and contests.
On October 5, employees from the companies and organizations within the Gazprom on Baikal non-profit partnership took part in an annual autumn cleanup arranged in the regional center by Irkutsk gas workers.
On September 17, employees of the Svobodnenskoye Gas Pipeline Operation Center of Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk joined an environmental campaign at the construction sites of the Power of Siberia gas trunkline.
On September 11, an exhibition entitled “Children in the Arts: Painting, Graphics, and Porcelain in the 19th and 20th Centuries” opened in the Magistralny settlement in the Kazachinsko-Lensky District of the Irkutsk Region.
At the beginning of the new school year, a climbing wall was opened at the Seyakhinskaya Boarding School, the northernmost school in the Yamal Peninsula. The training module named Skalodrom was acquired through the grant funding of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym.
On August 10–11, Novy Urengoy hosted the Nether-Polar Cross 2019 motocross championship and regional competition for the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area. The Yamburg sports and technical club of Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg was represented by five athletes in different age categories.
On August 2, the 10th annual open track-and-field race was held to mark 49 years since the Gas Production Directorate of Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg was established. Fifty-five employees and veterans of Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg together with workers from Gazprom Group companies based in the Orenburg Region and representatives of several regional companies and higher education institutions took part in the race.
On July 12–14, a tourist convention for the youth organized by the employees of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov on the occasion of the company's 55th anniversary took place at the children's summer camp named after Yuri Gagarin in the Engels District of the Saratov Region.
On July 11, the Reliable Partner – Ecology national competition for best environmental practices concluded with an award ceremony. Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan was awarded in the Best Information Project for Ecology category.
On June 23, a cultural and educational event named Sunday in the Radishchev State Art Museum took place in Saratov. During the event organized by Gazprom Transgaz Saratov, over 1,200 residents and guests of the city of Saratov took the opportunity to visit one of the main points of interest in the region.
Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod presented 50 vouchers for the company's health resorts to orphans, children without parental care, and disadvantaged children. Thirty children from three areas of the Nizhny Novgorod Region – the Korablik orphanage (Libezhevo, Chkalovsky District), the Welfare Directorate of the Sokolsky District, and the orphanage in the town of Gorodets – will enjoy recreation at the Kavkaz resort (Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Territory) on the Black Sea coast.
The 7th season of the Football for Friendship (F4F) international children's social programme organized by Gazprom concluded in Madrid. The final events of the project, which was carried out with support from FIFA, UEFA, and national football federations and associations, took place from May 28 through June 2 within the framework of the official programme of the UEFA Champions League Final.
On May 8, the Fakel-Gazprom table tennis club from Orenburg lifted the trophy of the European Champions League for a fifth time. Two Russian clubs – Fakel-Gazprom from Orenburg and UMMC from Yekaterinburg – vied for the main prize this year.
On April 21, a regional figure skating competition concluded at the Kristall sports school in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Sakhalin Region.
On April 5, a charity fundraising marathon named Summer 2019 concluded in Nadym. The event was meant to help organize summer holidays for disadvantaged children. Supported by Gazprom Dobycha Nadym, the marathon brought together the enterprises, organizations and residents of the Nadymsky District.
On March 23–24, the finals of the Ski Jumping World Cup for ladies were held in Tchaikovsky, Perm Territory, with Gazprom as a general sponsor.
On March 21, the Special Remedial Comprehensive School for children with special needs in Noyabrsk held an open lesson, presenting a new project funded by a grant from Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk. The gas company helped the School acquire a set of interactive tools for teaching children on the autistic spectrum.
Karate fighters from the Shotokan Transgaz Stavropol sports club made a strong showing at the 13th Russian championship in the eastern martial art Shotokan Karate-do held from March 1 to 3 in Shchelkovo, Moscow Region.
From February 21 to 24, the city of Novy Urengoy hosted the annual Open Ice Hockey Tournament among adult teams for the Cup of Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy.
On February 10, Novy Urengoy’s Gazodobytchik Culture and Sports Center hosted the 20th annual open dancesport competition Urengoy Waltz.
On January 20, the ice hockey rink of Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy in the city of Novy Urengoy hosted a charity event of the United Future: Good to Children program. The match, held as part of the Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy men’s ice hockey championship for teams from the company’s branches, had been initiated and supported by the company’s management and the united primary trade union organization, Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy Profsoyuz.
On December 15, Gazprom Transgaz Moscow took part in a charity cleanup event organized in support of the patients receiving care at the Butovo hospice of the Vera Hospice Charity Fund.
In November 2018, the Piano Theater for deaf children visited Japan as part of the Piano Fortissimo international project. The trip was supported by Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod.
On September 30, a half-marathon called Rostov Veliky (Rostov the Great) took place in the Yaroslavl Region. Employees of the Gazprom Group took part in the event and won some of its top honors.
On September 4–7, six district children’s hospitals across the Samara Region opened “islets of joy” for their young patients. A social project named Vitaminki (Little Vitamins), which aims to make children’s visits to the doctor more fun, was launched on the initiative of Vladimir Subbotin, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Samara. The hospitals’ outpatient departments were provided with educational toys and furniture, allowing children to spend some quality time while waiting for the doctor. The “islets of joy” are available at several hospitals located in Syzran, Pokhvistnevo and Chelno-Vershiny, Samara Region.
On August 21, the children’s team of the Arktur ice hockey club (HC) had its first training session on a new ice rink in Nadym equipped through grant financing from Gazprom Dobycha Nadym.
On August 12, a bike ride was held in Novy Urengoy in celebration of International Youth Day. The event was arranged by the Council of Young Scientists and Professionals of Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg and the Youth Commission of the company’s primary trade union (PTU).
On July 6, Gazprom Pererabotka held an offsite donor event at the initiative of the company’s Council of Young Scientists and Professionals. Forty-three employees of Gazprom Pererabotka took part in the event, donating around twenty liters of blood.
On June 15, six employees of Gazprom Komplektatsiya ascended to the top of Elbrus, the highest mountain in Russia and Europe.
