Gazprom and Fluxys discuss new European infrastructure for Russian gas supplies
A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom, and Pascal De Buck, Chief Executive Officer of Fluxys, took place today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2017.
The parties discussed the issues related to the establishment of a new infrastructure in Europe to export Russian gas to the region via the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
The meeting also touched upon the progress on the implementation of the Framework Agreement between Gazprom and Fluxys on small-scale LNG cooperation in the European market.
The Belgian gas transmission company Fluxys is engaged in natural gas transportation and storage, as well as offers infrastructure services in the field of large-scale and small-scale LNG. The company provides Gazprom with transmission capacities for gas deliveries to the United Kingdom.
On March 29, 2016, Gazprom and Fluxys signed the Framework Agreement on small-scale LNG cooperation in the European market.
