Alexander Chernov takes over leadership at Gazprom Georesource
Alexander Chernov is appointed as Director General of Gazprom Georesource.
Alexander Chernov was born in 1981 in the Rostov Region. In 2003 he graduated from South-Russian State Technical University (Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute), majoring in Geophysical Methods of Mineral Deposit Prospecting and Exploration.
Alexander Chernov has worked at Gazprom Group for 14 years.
Between 2002 and 2004 – 4th category logger, geoscientist at a field geophysical survey unit, Severgazgeofizika production branch of Gazprom Georesource.
Between 2004 and 2008 – division head, technical leader of the field geophysical survey unit at Severgazgeofizika.
Between 2008 and 2016 – Chief Engineer, Director of Severgazgeofizika.
Gazprom Georesource is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. The company provides a full range of services covering geophysical surveys for oil and gas well construction, vertical seismic profiling, and seismic operations in Russia and abroad.
