Mizuho Bank, Ltd., Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, and J.P. Morgan to provide EUR 800 million credit facility to Gazprom
Gazprom, Japan's Mizuho Bank, Ltd. (Mizuho) and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), and U.S.-based JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. (J.P. Morgan) signed a four-year EUR 800 million Facility Agreement at the Gazprom headquarters today.
The document was signed on behalf of Gazprom by Andrey Kruglov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, on behalf of the Japanese banks by Teiji Teramoto, Managing Executive Officer, Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa of Mizuho, and by Tetsuro Imaeda, Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa Division of SMBC, and on behalf of JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. by Yan Tavrovsky, President of CB “J.P. Morgan Bank International” (LLC).

It was noted that the signing of the Agreement was another example of Gazprom's successful long-term cooperation with Mizuho, SMBC, and J.P. Morgan.
Mizuho Bank, Ltd. is a banking unit of Mizuho Financial Group, a leading financial services group in Japan. It has 549 offices around the world (including branches, representative offices, and subsidiaries), among them a subsidiary bank in Moscow. Since 2000, the bank has been actively involved in Gazprom's deals aimed at securing corporate and project financing and has acted as a financial adviser to the Company.
