Gazprom delegation takes part in St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2010
A Gazprom delegation headed by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee is taking part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2010.
During the first day of the Forum Alexey Miller met with the heads of several major European energy companies, as well as with the leading representatives of political and economic communities from the countries participating in the Forum.
Alexey Miller also met with Marcel Kramer, Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of Gasunie. The negotiations focused on further implementation of the Nord Stream project and on the gas transmission infrastructure development in order to ensure reliable delivery of Russian natural gas to the European market.

In addition, Alexey Miller met with Tapio Kuula, President and CEO of Fortum. The parties discussed the issues surrounding hydrocarbons delivery to Finland and agreed that despite a temporary consumption decline natural gas would continue playing an essential role in the national energy balance. Special attention was paid to joint power generation projects execution.
Alexey Miller also held a working meeting with Duk-Soo Kang, Chairman of STX Business Group. The parties discussed the opportunities for cooperation between the companies in Gazprom’s offshore projects implementation and exchanged opinions on STX Business Group’s interaction with Russian shipbuilding companies.
