On working meting between Alexey Miller and Sergey Morozov


Gazprom’s Headquarters today hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee and Sergey Morozov, Governor of the Ulyanovsk Oblast.

The parties discussed the progress in implementing the Agreement of Cooperation and the Accord on Gasification between Gazprom and the Ulyanovsk Oblast Administration. A focus was placed on the possibility of speeding-up the Syzran – Ulyanovsk gas lateral construction.

The parties pointed to the need of clearing the gas arrears of the Ulyanovsk Oblast.


The Cooperation Agreement between the Ulyanovsk Oblast and Gazprom was signed in August 2001, the Gasification Accord – in November 2005.

In 2007 Gazprom supplied over 2.7 bcm of gas to the Ulyanovsk Oblast consumers and nearly 2.4 bcm is projected for this year.

The gas debt of the Ulyanovsk Oblast increased RUR 131.8 mln between January and April of 2008 to RUR 297.1 mln as of May 1, 2008.

The construction of the 90-km-long 325 mm Syzran – Ulyanovsk gas lateral is envisaged in the General Gas Supply and Gasification Scheme for the Ulyanovsk Oblast.
