On working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov and Alexander Khoroshavin
The Gazprom Headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Alexander Khoroshavin, Governor of the Sakhalin Oblast.
The parties discussed current issues relevant to the gas supply and gasification of the Sakhalin Oblast with reference to the 2006 Agreement signed between Gazprom and the Sakhalin Oblast Administration as well as issues aimed at executing on the Sakhalin Oblast territory the Development Program for the integrated gas production, transportation and supply system in Eastern Siberia and the Far East, taking into account possible gas exports to China and other Asia-Pacific countries.
In 2006 Gazprom and the Sakhalin Oblast Administration signed the Agreement of cooperation and Gasification Accord.
According to the basic principles of the Eastern Gas program, the priority is, inter alia, given to meeting gas demand of Russian consumers. In a midterm perspective gas of the Sakhalin I project will be the only source to satisfy gas needs of consumers in the Khabarovsk, Primorsky Krais, Sakhalin Oblast and Jewish Autonomous District.
In 2007 the Gazprom Representative Office for the Sakhalin Oblast was established in the town of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
In the same year Gazprom developed the General Gas supply and Gasification Scheme for the Far Eastern Federal District. The Scheme underlies the General Gas Supply and Gasification Scheme for the Sakhalin Oblast, which is now under development pursuant to the Gasification Accord.
