On working meeting between Alexey Miller and Anatoly Artamonov
The Gazprom Headquarters today hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee and Anatoly Artamonov, Governor of the Kaluga Oblast.
The meeting addressed the implementation of the bilateral Agreement of Cooperation and the 2008 Gasification Program for the Russian Federation Regions in the Kaluga Oblast. A focus was also placed on the possibility of including new gasification facilities in the Program.
The Agreement of Cooperation was entered into between Gazprom and the Kaluga Oblast Administration in November 2001, the Gasification Accord – in February 2002.
In 2007 Gazprom supplied the Kaluga Oblast with over 1.7 bcm of gas. Supplies for this year are slated in excess of 1.8 bcm.
Natural gas penetration in the Kaluga Oblast totals 70.3 per cent including 82.6 per cent in cities and towns and 35.2 per cent in the rural area. The identical figures throughout Russia average 62, 67 and 44 per cent respectively.
From 2003 to 2007 Gazprom invested RUR 1.42 bln to gasify the Kaluga Oblast. In 2008 RUR 500 mln was committed for these purposes – to finalize the construction of 19 pipelines and to launch the construction of five new pipelines.
