Gazprom hosted annual meeting with Great Patriotic war veterans
Gazprom’s Headquarters hosted an annual meeting between the Company’s top management and veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The Meeting was attended by 52 veterans, whose professional carrier was linked to the domestic gas industry development. Heads of Gazprom’s Inter-Regional Trade Union also took part in the Meeting.
Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee, addressed the Meeting with a few opening remarks.
“As you know, Gazprom honors traditions and carefully treats elderly people. We need your advice, your professional and life experience, your wisdom. In meeting our challenges, we never forget to guide by your evaluations, by our predecessors’ achievements. I can proudly maintain that we are following the right path: last year’s results achieved by Gazprom’s large and orderly team are surely the best ones over the past decade,” – pointed out Alexander Ananenkov.
Sergey Kashirov, Chairman of Gazprom’s veterans Commission, Boris Selikhov, Maria Bibikova, Alla Savkina, Dzhigansha Madyarov and other War veterans presented their speeches.
The Meeting was followed by a holiday concert.
There are over 4,500 Great Patriotic War veterans, who used to work in the gas business. Gazprom and its subsidiaries annually celebrate the Victory Day, Fatherland Defender’s Day, Oil and Gas Industry Worker’s Day and Elderly Person’s Day.
An integral part of Gazprom’s staff policy is to take care of retired employees, primarily of the War Participants, civilian workforce, inclusive. The 2003 Program on increasing the social prestige of work in Gazprom covers, to a large extent, issues of the former gas industry workers’ social protection.
