Gazprom Classes project
With a view to build a promising talent pool and improve career guidance, Gazprom approved the Regulation on the establishment and operation of profession-oriented Gazprom Classes by Order No. 256 dated June 5, 2014.
The project aims to attract the most able pupils motivated to achieve professional fulfillment, thereby developing a talent pool for Gazprom’s subsidiary companies and organizations by improving the quality of education and implementing targeted career guidance programs at schools and universities.
- promoting the importance of the engineering profession among pupils and developing early career focus on engineering jobs;
- imparting to pupils the history, corporate culture, and development prospects of Gazprom and its subsidiaries; introducing them to the oil and gas industry; and exploring different aspects of occupations and professions in high demand by the subsidiaries, including by involving educators from Gazprom’s partner universities;
- motivating pupils for future employment at subsidiaries; retaining young professionals in the regions where the Company’s subsidiaries operate;
- improving the quality of teaching to make pupils competitive for entrance exams at universities, including Gazprom’s partner universities;
- training pupils in technology as well as under additional programs focused on labor education; and
- providing an enabling environment in which pupils can develop their creativity, grow as persons, choose a profession, and fulfill their professional potential, through shaping their core competences.

Seven new classes were established as part of the Gazprom Classes project on September 1, 2016, with the support of Gazprom Transgaz Surgut, Gazprom Dobycha Nadym, Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk, Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg, Gazprom Transgaz Ufa, and Gazprom Transgaz Saint Petersburg.
On the Knowledge Day, a Gazprom Class was opened at Secondary School No. 7 in Gubkinsky, with the support of Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk.
Igor Krutikov, Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk, said his parting words to the Gazprom Class pupils during the scarf-tying ceremony.
The first lesson nearly for all of Gazprom Classes was Profession Basics, when the pupils learned about the history and corporate traditions of Gazprom and its subsidiaries.
A team-building training session for the Gazprom Class pupils from Surgut Scientific Lyceum was organized by volunteers from the Youth Association of Gazprom Transgaz Surgut on the first day of academic year.
The representatives of Tyumen Industrial University congratulated the pupils of the profession-oriented class on the new school year. The University offers training sessions for academic competitions and educational programs at the profession-oriented network school of the University to the pupils of the Gazprom Class established with the support of Gazprom Transgaz Surgut during vacations.
On September 1, 2016, Republic of Bashkortostan opened its first Gazprom Class.
Dmitry Ponomarev, Deputy Director General for Personnel Management at Gazprom Transgaz Ufa, congratulated the Gazprom Class pupils and made a sweet gift: a cake shaped as the map of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
On September 1, 2016, the Agreement on establishing a Gazprom Class was signed and sealed with a handshake between Marina Vladova, Headmistress of Secondary School No. 53, and David Gaidt, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg.
The Gazprom Class pupils in Yekaterinburg will study in a room outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment thanks to the support of Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg.

After the first day of school, the pupils of the Gazprom Class opened with the support of Gazprom Transgaz Saint Petersburg visited the school historical museum.
In Novy Urengoy, the fourth generation of tenth graders joined on the Knowledge Day the Gazprom Class project supported by Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg.
As is the tradition, Valentin Kramar, Deputy Director General for Personnel Management at Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg, handed out Gazprom Class membership cards and badges to the future engineers.
Young professionals from Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy spoke some welcoming words to the pupils of the Zemlya Rodnaya Secondary School at the ceremonial gathering on the Knowledge Day.
After the gathering and an open lesson, the Gazprom Class pupils visited the History Museum of Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy. They learned about the first well and about new projects and the company’s objectives planned with respect to them.
The first class meeting of the Gazprom Class at Kravtsov Secondary School was held by Dmitry Tremasov, Head of the Pokhvistnevskaya Industrial Site at Gazprom Transgaz Samara, who extended the congratulations on behalf of the Gazprom Transgaz Samara top management to the teachers and pupils and wished success to everyone.
Due to a strong performance of schoolchildren from the Staropokhvistnevo settlement, the local school is ranked among the top ten schools under the Northeastern Department of Education.
On September 1, 2016, the second Gazprom Class in the Far East was opened at Lyceum No. 1 of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. After a competitive selection process, 25 pupils from Sakhalin schools started their academic year in a specialized class.

On the first day of the new school year, the pupils of 11 G grade from Lyceum No. 1 in Surgut met with the representatives of Gazprom Pererabotka and the Surgut Condensate Stabilization Plant.

After the class meeting, the Gazprom Class pupils had an entertainment event at the Kedrovy recreation center of Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk.
The conversation with Evgeny Gusev, Deputy Director General for Personnel Management at Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta, aroused keen interest among the pupils from the Gazprom Class of Rassokhin Ukhta Technical Lyceum. He told them about the activities of the Gazprom Group subsidiaries, demanded professions and occupations in the company, and sports and cultural life of gas industry workers.
The pupils of the new Gazprom Class were given a cake with candles as a gift from Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta. The pupils blew out the candles on the cake and made their wishes, hoping they would come true.

For the second time, a competitive selection process was held among tenth graders to form a Gazprom Class in the town of Mozhga, Republic of Udmurtia, with the support of Gazprom Transgaz Tchaikovsky.
The Lyceum-Boarding School for gifted children with advanced study of chemistry under Kazan National Research Technological University held the event marking the new academic year in the Republic of Tatarstan that was attended by the representatives of local and federal authorities, Kazan National Research Technological University, and Gazprom Transgaz Kazan.

This year, the first bell at Georgy Atyakshev Lyceum in Yugorsk was rung by a first grader and a Gazprom Class pupil during a ceremonial gathering. The Gazprom Class was opened with the support of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk.

On September 1, 2016, three Gazprom Classes were established in the Yamal and Nadym Districts of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, with the support of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym.
Over forty students who had completed nine years at secondary schools in Nadym, the Pangody settlement, and the Yar-Sale settlement entered the specialized classes. The main selection criteria were academic excellence and the desire to devote one’s professional life to the gas production industry.
