News from projects and regions
The Government of the Stavropol Territory has held an award ceremony in celebration of Volunteer Day. Vladimir Vladimirov, Governor of the Stavropol Territory, has awarded the volunteers who are helping people amid the ongoing pandemic.
Among the awardees is Evgenia Ivakhnenko, legal adviser at Ipatovoraigaz (a subsidiary of Gazprom Gazoraspredeleniye Stavropol in the Ipatovsky District). In April 2020, she joined the volunteer movement with some of her colleagues. As a member of the Youth Council of Gazprom Gazoraspredeleniye Stavropol and a volunteer of the Stellar Wind Creative Union non-profit organization, she acts as a coordinator of volunteer activities in the Ipatovsky City District. In her work on the volunteer team, she helps people in risk groups: seniors, people with disabilities and chronic illnesses, and parents of small children who have trouble finding babysitters due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
Sergey Bondarenko, Director General of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Stavropol and Gazprom Gazoraspredeleniye Stavropol, said:
“Volunteers have become one of the main forces in the fight against the pandemic alongside medical workers. We are proud to say that 350 employees of our company count themselves among the over 2,000 volunteers helping people in the Stavropol Territory.”
