On April 21, a regional figure skating competition concluded at the Kristall sports school in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Sakhalin Region. The event, which was supported by Gazprom Dobycha Shelf Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, drew more than 70 athletes aged between 8 and 16 from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Vladivostok, Ussuriysk, Khabarovsk, Artyom, and Kholmsk.
The skaters' talents were assessed by an expert panel of judges from Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, and Berdsk. The tournament allowed boys and girls to prove their athletic titles by showcasing their improved skills and techniques. The participants who scored the greatest number of points in the free and short programs were named winners of the competition.
Gazprom Dobycha Shelf Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom focused on developing fields within the Kirinsky block, including the Kirinskoye and Yuzhno-Kirinskoye fields, as part of the Eastern Gas Program.
