Company history

Gazprom dobycha Krasnodar is among the oldest enterprises of Gazprom. It was Kuban that supplied gas to Russia’s central regions in the 1960s. On November 16, 1995 the Kubangazprom Production Association was set up under the Gas Industry Ministry. Kubangazprom was headed by Vasily Dinkov who was subsequently appointed the Minister of the Gas Industry and, later on, of the Oil Industry of the USSR.

Throughout the years of its history, Kubangazprom has shaped into a production complex embracing several businesses, such as hydrocarbons production and transmission, underground storage etc. In 2007, upon taking of measures aimed at restructuring Kubangazprom through the unbundling of new subsidiaries from Gazprom, the company was reshaped into a gas production company.

On March 22, 2010 Kubangazprom changed its brand name to Gazprom dobycha Krasnodar.

Prospects

The company executes a long-term development program for gas, oil and gas condensate production. The program stipulates a set of actions. In particular, drilling of the ultra-deep exploratory well No.1 was launched in April 2008 in the Krasnoarmeysky District, Krasnodar Krai. According to geological estimates, the Krupskaya area contains abundant hydrocarbons resources that may considerably build up production by Gazprom dobycha Krasnodar.
