Director General

Mikhail Akselrod. In 1974 graduated from the Leningrad Engineering Construction Institute. Academic degree: PhD in Economic Sciences.

M. Akselrod began his professional career as an installer trainee. He also served as a chief engineer, division head, Engineer, deputy head of a mobile mechanical division, chief dispatcher, deputy trust manager, Deputy Director at Stroitel production and commercial enterprise, Director of a local food supply company, Director for hydropower station operation at Lenenergo.

In various periods Mikhail Akselrod took the following positions at Gazprom: Head of the Investment & Construction Department, Head of the Capital Construction & Procurement Department, Head of the Capital Construction & Transportation Department. He also served as Gazprom’s Management Committee Member.

Company History

The company was incorporated on June 20, 2002. Since then the company has put onstream nine compressor stations, built over 400 km of gas trunklines, upgraded and overhauled over 1,800 km of gas trunklines and gas laterals.

In 2006 the company brought the Pestsovaya area in the Urengoy oil, gas and condensate field to its full capacity. In the same year preparatory work was initiated on the pre-development of the Bovanenkovo and Kharasavey oil and gas condensate fields on the Yamal Peninsula.

Gazprom invest Yug has elaborated and introduced an integrated management system under the ISO 9001:2000, 14001:2004 and STO Gazprom 9001–2006 standards, which guarantees high-quality construction, capital repairs, re-construction and technical retrofit of fuel and energy facilities.

Major Activities

Gazprom invest Yug implements large-scale projects for the construction of crucial gas industry facilities.

The company performs two major activities: it acts both as a customer and a general contractor of construction projects funded by Gazprom.

Gazprom invest Yug applies modern technologies aimed at preventing environmental pollution.

The efficiency of environmental activities is confirmed by the corporate environmental management system in compliance with the ISO 14001:2004 standard.

Social Policy

Gazprom invest Yug is active in implementing its social policy. In particular, the company participates in the Gift Book program targeted at the purchase of illustrated books for little blind children. The company also supports programs for orphan children.

Prospects

The company plans to consecutively expand and accelerate the construction of fuel and energy facilities.
