From October 16 to 19, 2014 the Olymp Stadium of Sukhodol settlement, Sergievsk District, Samara Region hosted the 15th annual football tournament of youth teams for the Lev Yashin Cup.
The sports & recreation complex will include a 50 meter Olympic swimming pool, a versatile gym, a hall of martial arts as well as training grounds. Both amateur and professional athletes, children and adults will be able to comfortably train in the complex.
We’re Same as Everyone! Spartakiada Games held in Sakhalin with assistance of Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk
Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk provided assistance in holding the We’re Same as Everyone! Spartakiada Games for physically challenged children, organized by the Sakhalin Region Ministry of Social Protection.
Forty children from 6 to 17 years old from the Kirovskoye orphanage (Tymovskoye District) and the Preodoleniye social rehabilitation center (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) took part in the event held in the Chaika medical & social rehabilitation center in Pionery village, Kholmsk District.
On September 10 Klintsy (Bryansk Region) hosted an opening ceremony of an ice palace constructed under the Gazprom for Children program. Gazprom Transgaz Moscow acted as the building contractor of the new sports facility.
The ice palace with the total area of 3,317.67 square meters is designed for training and local competitions in ice hockey, figure skating as well as popular (mass) skating.
Four sports grounds constructed under the Gazprom for Children program opened at once on September 1 and 2 in Ryazan schools. The representatives of the Regional and Municipal Administrations as well as famous Ryazan athletes took part in the ceremonies.
These sports grounds provide an opportunity for playing tennis, basketball or streetball, volleyball, futsal, handball, hockey. They have an eco-friendly hardwearing surface manufactured in compliance with the most cutting-edge technologies, which is quick to dry after rain, freeze-resistant and may be easily transformed into a skating rink in winter.
Sports ground constructed in Chesnokovka settlement of Orenburg Region under Gazprom for Children program
September 4 saw the opening of a versatile sports ground constructed under the Gazprom for Children program in Chesnokovka settlement of the Perevolotsk District, Orenburg Region.
A versatile hockey court with artificial surface situated at the Chesnokovka secondary school premises is designed for playing hockey, futsal, volleyball, basketball, handball and tennis.
The opening ceremony of a versatile sports ground constructed under the Gazprom for Children program took place in school No. 3 of Kumertau on August 25.
Within the Gazprom for Children target program, Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol opened five children’s sports grounds in Ptichye village, Ryzdvyany settlement as well as Baklanovskaya, Novotroitskaya and Kamennobrodskaya settlements of the Stavropol Territory.
For the young residents of these localities the new sports facilities became yet another present from gas workers who take active part in developing social and sports infrastructure across the region. Outdoor sports grounds are modern versatile facilities, including the volleyball and basketball courts, parallel bars, horizontal bars and the jungle gym for the youngest athletes.
The decisive match of the European Champions League in table tennis was held between the Russian Fakel Gazproma club and French Pontoise-Cergy at the Russian Table Tennis Center on May 31.
As Ronald Kramer, President of the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) stressed at the medal ceremony, “the game was stunningly intense and beautiful.”
Gazprom brings together hundreds of children from different countries at second Football for Friendship forum
On May 24, 2014 Lisbon hosted the second International Children's Forum organized within the Football for Friendship global social project of Gazprom. The event was attended by over 450 children and teenagers from 16 European countries: Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, and the UK.
From May 23 to 25 Samara hosted the Volga Federal District Basketball Championship among men’s amateur teams. Taking part in the competitions were sportsmen from Samara, Tolyatti, Saratov, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Kirov, Almetyevsk. Not only did the Gazprom Transgaz Samara basketball team defend the company’s honor, but also represented the Samara Region as the winner of the regional competitions.
On May 17 Novy Urengoy hosted the 5th Regular Open International Kumite Kyokushin Championship Yamburg Cup – Yamal 2014. The competition took place in the sports and recreation complex of Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg. The company organized the tournament jointly with the International Federation of Karate (IFK), Kyokushin.
80 athletes from 15 countries, namely Abkhazia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Turkmenistan, the UK and Uzbekistan came to compete for the champion title. Andrey Bura, Chairman of the Russian Kyokushin Federation was the chief referee of the competition. Alexey Shepelev, Alexey Gorokhov, Felix Anisimov, Vasily Bogushov, Dmitry Savelyev, Evgeny Yermolin, Jansen Conchita were the referees on tatami. IFK President Steve Arneil and IFK Vice President David Pickthall were the honorary guests of the Championship.
On April 5 Pangody hosted a car race for the Gazprom Dobycha Nadym Cup.
The competitions were held for three vehicle classes: customized VAZ 2108 and VAZ 2109 cars with two-wheel drives and up to 1,600 cubic centimeters displacement (A-1,600), the same car models in standard arrangement (D2N) and four-wheel drives UAZs (T1–2500).
As part of the Gazprom for Children program, the 9th Pavlovskaya Raketka Children and Youth Table Tennis Tournament for the prizes of Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg took place on March 28 in the Helios sports complex of Pavlovka settlement, Orenburg District, Orenburg Region.
Taking part in the competition were 140 young athletes from 7 to 18 years old from towns and villages of the Region. Trainees of the sports school under the Russian Table Tennis Center and Children and Youth Sports School No. 3 represented Orenburg at the Tournament.
Yekaterinburg hosted a closing ceremony of the 10th Anniversary Adult Winter Spartakiada Games and the 5th Anniversary Children's Winter Spartakiada Games of Gazprom. Participants and guests of the competitions were welcomed by Elena Kasyan, Head of the Personnel Management Department and Head of the Gazprom Spartakiada Games Steering Committee, Vladimir Vlasov, First Deputy Chairman of the Sverdlovsk Region Government and David Gaidt, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg.
Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk hosted the 15th International Ski Marathon in tribute to Igor Farkhutdinov, former Governor of the Sakhalin Region. Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk was the general sponsor of the event for the second year in a row.
About three hundred people participated in the marathon: ski lovers from the Sakhalin Island, the Far East and other Russian regions covered the distance of 30 kilometers.
The fighters of the Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol Shotokan Club won eight gold medals in the Shotokan Karate-Do Championship, Competition and the Russian National Shotokan Karate-Do Games in Moscow.
Taking part in the tournaments were about a thousand karate fighters from over 50 Russian regions. The athletes competed for a place in the Russian national team taking part in the major international competitions of the season.
On March 2 the Uralochka competitive sports center of Yekaterinburg hosted a festive opening of Gazprom's Winter Spartakiada Games.
The ceremony was introduced with a theatrical show about the history of Yekaterinburg, capital of the Middle Urals. After the show, 20 adult and 11 children's teams from 22 Gazprom's subsidiaries took part in a festive parade.
