A chamber concert featuring the Rachmaninov Trio and Alexander Lemeshev, a famous St. Petersburg glass harmonica (crystallophone) player, took place at the White Hall of the Sheremetev Palace in St. Petersburg on December 1, 2016, as part of the joint cultural and educational project of Gazprom and Germany’s VNG-Verbundnetz Gas. The musicians played compositions by Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, and Mendelssohn.
The 11th International Music Festival ‘Stars on Baikal’ has concluded in Irkutsk.
Participants performed at several venues in Ukhta, while the festival guests had a chance to sample national cuisines and visit a Finno-Ugric arts-and-crafts fair.

The first concert of the Kaluga Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Simonyan took place on March 14, 2015, in the concert hall of the Tchaikovsky State Memorial Musical Museum and Reserve, in the city of Klin (Moscow Region). Gazprom Transgaz Moscow supported by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President in the Central Federal District will be organizing a series of patriotic music events in the regions of the Central Federal District to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The sports & recreation complex will include a 50 meter Olympic swimming pool, a versatile gym, a hall of martial arts as well as training grounds. Both amateur and professional athletes, children and adults will be able to comfortably train in the complex.

On May 31 and June 1, 2014 all the branches of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov hosted mass children’s holidays dedicated to the Children’s Day. From May 23 to 25 Samara hosted the Volga Federal District Basketball Championship among men’s amateur teams. Taking part in the competitions were sportsmen from Samara, Tolyatti, Saratov, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Kirov, Almetyevsk. Not only did the Gazprom Transgaz Samara basketball team defend the company’s honor, but also represented the Samara Region as the winner of the regional competitions.

Gazprom traditionally holds New Year charity campaigns for children in need of social support. On January 11, 2014 the Izmailovo concert hall in Moscow hosted yet another New Year holiday event for socially disadvantaged children. The children were shown the Lukomorye (Curved Seashore) musical based on fairy tales by Alexander Pushkin.

On October 19, founding day of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum over 120 young reciters from the Irkutsk city, the Cheremkhovo town as well as the Meget, Zalari and Kutulik settlements gathered in the Pushkin Central Children’s Library of Irkutsk. The participants presented poetry and prose by Alexander Pushkin to be approved by the jury. Despite a competitive format, the atmosphere of the event was friendly and creative.

Gazprom conducted a large-scale charity campaign a few days before the 70th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Company allocated funds to support 65 Eternal Flame memorials in the hero-cities and cities of military glory, namely Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Tula, Kursk, Sevastopol, and others. In addition, Gazprom maintained the Eternal Flame memorial built with the support of veterans and local citizens in Chkalovsk town (Nizhny Novgorod Region).

The Gazovik Cultural and Sports Center was inaugurated on September 10 in the Tatishchevo settlement of the Perevolotsk District, Orenburg Region. It was constructed by Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg under the Gazprom for Children program. This Center will be the main venue for sporting activities of the Tatishchevo settlement as well as the nearby settlements of Zubochistka, Zubochistka-2, Rodnichny Dol and Chesnokovka. In this way, about 500 schoolchildren will take part in District-wide sporting events.
On the threshold of the Knowledge Day the employees of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov took part in the Get a Child Ready for School charity campaign as part of the company’s Green Planet for Children social project. All the company’s branches donated money to purchase school kits, office supplies, backpacks and sports equipment, which total worth exceeded RUB 100 thousand. More than 100 teams and performers from Spain, Italy, Macedonia, Baltic States, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine, participated in it. The participants’ age varied between 5 and 65 years. A young jazz singer Ekaterina Sergunina received her award for singing ‘Cheek to cheek’ and ‘Blue sky’ in English.

The competition took place in the sports and recreation complex of Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg. The company organized the tournament jointly with the International Federation of Karate (IFK), Kyokushin.

Within the 2013 Labor Glory Museums competition the Gazprom Transgaz Saratov Museum won in the Succession of Generations nomination and Ekaterina Gracheva, senior specialist of the PR and Media Relations Service of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov became the best museum worker. Winner’s diplomas were awarded by Vasily Artin, Director of the Municipal Youth Center and Deputy of the Saratov City Duma. The competition of labor glory museums is held in Saratov for the first time with a view to promote youth’s civic and patriotic education and exhibition activities. Labor glory museums of about 20 enterprises of the Saratov Region took part in the competition.

On March 27 Slavyansk-on-Kuban hosted an open futsal tournament among trainees of football schools. 8 teams comprised of young sportsmen from 12 to 14 years old entered the competition for the grand prize. The footballers played 11 matches in the course of which the Slavyanski Football Club team took the first place. In the end of the sports celebration gas workers congratulated the children on the start of spring vacations and awarded them cups and medals.
