Gazprom is the leader of the Russian power market. The Company’s share in Russian power generation averages 17 per cent.

Since 2007, when first power generation assets were purchased, Gazprom has turned into the major investor into the Russian power industry. We’ve already fulfilled more than two-thirds of obligations for the construction of new facilities, assumed by Gazprom Group on entering the power industry (obligations to commission generating facilities with the total output of some 9 GW (one-third of the obligations of all Russian investors with regard to power generation) over 6 GW has already been commissioned) from 2007 to 2016.

Let us look back on 10 major power generation facilities constructed by Gazprom in the recent years.

1. Combined cycle gas turbine unit No. 11 at CHPP-2

Moscow, 2008. Combined cycle gas turbine unit No. 11 with the power generating capacity of 450 MW, heat generating capacity of 300 Gcal/h and efficiency of 51 per cent was commissioned at CHPP-21.

2. Combined cycle gas turbine unit No. 4 CHPP-27

Moscow, 2008. Combined cycle gas turbine unit No. 4 with the power generating capacity of 450 MW, heat generating capacity of 300 Gcal/h and efficiency of 51 per cent was commissioned at CHPP-27.

3. Two combined cycle gas turbine units at the Pervomaiskaya CHPP

Saint Petersburg, 2011. Two combined cycle gas turbine units with the power generating capacity of 180 MW each were commissioned at the Pervomaiskaya CHPP.

4. Combined cycle gas turbine unit at the Yuzhnaya CHPP

Saint Petersburg, 2011. A combined cycle gas turbine unit with the power generating capacity of 450 MW and heat generating capacity of 340 Gcal/h was commissioned at the Yuzhnaya CHPP.

5. Combined cycle gas turbine unit No.8 at CHPP-26

Moscow, 2011. Combined cycle gas turbine unit No.8 with the power generating capacity of 420 MW, heat generating capacity of 265 Gcal/h and efficiency of 59 per cent was commissioned at CHPP-26.

6. Combined cycle gas turbine unit at the Kirishi SDPP

Kirishi, Leningrad Region, 2012. A combined cycle gas turbine unit with the power generating capacity of 800 MW and efficiency of 55 per cent was commissioned at the Kirishi SDPP.

7. Combined cycle gas turbine unit at the Pravoberezhnaya CHPP

Saint Petersburg, 2012. A combined cycle gas turbine unit with the power generating capacity of 450 MW was commissioned at the Pravoberezhnaya CHPP.

8. Adler TPP

Sochi, Krasnodar Territory, 2013. Adler TPP with the power generating capacity of 360 MW, heat generating capacity of 227 Gcal/h and efficiency of 52 per cent was commissioned.

9. Combined cycle gas turbine unit at the Cherepovets SDPP

Kaduy settlement, Vologda Region, 2014. A combined cycle gas turbine unit with the power generating capacity of 420 MW and efficiency of 55.8 per cent was commissioned at the Cherepovets SDPP.

10. Combined cycle gas turbine unit at CHPP-16

Moscow, 2014. A combined cycle gas turbine unit with the power generating capacity of 420 MW, heat generating capacity of 196 Gcal/h and efficiency of 58.2 per cent was commissioned at CHPP-16.
