Elvira Sakhipzadovna Nabiullina was born on October 29, 1963.
In 1986 she graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University majoring in Economics.
From 1991 to 1992 she worked as Chief Specialist, Directorate of Standing Committee, Board of USSR Industrial Union of Economic Reform.
In 1992-1994 she served as Chief Specialist, Adviser, Board of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
In 1994 E. Nabiullina was appointed Advisor, Expert Institute, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
From 1994 to 1995 she worked as Deputy Head, Economic Reform Department – Head, State Economy Regulation Directorate, Ministry of Economy of the Russian Federation.
From 1995 to 1996 E. Nabiullina worked as Deputy Head, Economic Reform Department, Ministry of Economy of the Russian Federation.
From 1996 to 1997 she served as Head, Economic Reform Department, Ministry of Economy of the Russian Federation and Member of the Board, Ministry of Economy of the Russian Federation.
From 1997 to 1998 – Deputy Economy Minister of the Russian Federation.
From 1998 to 1999 E. Nabiullina served as Deputy Chairman of the Board, Promtorgbank.
In 1999 she was appointed Executive Director, Euro-Asian Rating Service.
From 1999 to 2000 she worked as Vice President, Center for Strategic Research.
From 2000 to 2003 – First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade.
From 2003 to 2005 E. Nabiullina worked as President, Center for Strategic Research.
Since October 2005 – Head of Expert Council, Organizing Committee for arrangement and support of the Russian Federation presidency in G8 in 2006; Head of Research, Center for Strategic Research.
On September 24, 2007 E. Nabiullina was appointed the Russian Federation Minister of Economic Development and Trade.
Since May 12, 2008 – Economic Development Minister of the Russian Federation.
On June 27, 2008 E. Nabiullina was elected Member of the Gazprom Board of Directors.
