Kavkaztransgaz Ltd. is a natural gas transportation company that realizes gas transit abroad under intergovernmental contracts. The company provides consumers of the South Federal Region of Russia with natural gas. It carries out exploitation of the biggest underground gas storage in Europe (with an active capacity more than 24 billion of cubic meters).

The metal-plastic product shop is a subsidiary of Kavkaztransgaz with a 10-year experience in polyethylene reinforced (metal-plastic) pipes and hoses intended for pipeline construction. During the period laboratory and field pipe and hose testing have been completed as well as the design analysis, evaluation of short- and long-term strength (service life) in the process of operation.

At present, the oil- and gas pipelines made of metal-plastic pipes and hoses serve reliably in the Northern Caucasus, at the Siberian oil fields, etc.

POLYETHYLENE REINFORCED (METAL-PLASTIC) PIPES AND HOSES FOR PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR WORKS

 

The polyethylene reinforced pipes (TPA) and hoses (MPSh) are intended for transmission of:

- permanent resistance welded joint (as in case of non-reinforced polyethylene pipes).

The pipes and hoses are made of high density polyethylene of the PE-80 class.

 

The TPA polyethylene reinforced pipes (metal-plastic) – steel wire is used for reinforcement; the wire forms a welded cage inside the polyethylene matrix of the pipe.

- applying of straps made of reinforcing glass-fiber band (3)

Repaired the trunk line damaged pipe

The method suggested for repair of the aged steel pipelines ensures restoration of the pipe wall supporting power.

The damaged section guaranteed service life after repair is not less than 10 years.

Repair works are carried out without pipeline shut-off (30% reduction of the operation pressure is required).
