The Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and is a state-run higher educational institution. The University was founded by the Russian Federation Government.
Gubkin University has been the country’s first higher educational institution to begin petroleum experts training and still remains the talent foundry of the oil and gas industry.
Since 1930 Gubkin University has trained more than 85 thousand experts, PhD and doctoral degree holders.
The University trains bachelors in 14 specializations. Those who want to obtain the expert diploma can choose one of 26 specializations, master’s degree diploma – 12 specializations. Post-graduate PhD and doctorate courses are represented by 45 scientific specializations.
