Oleg Andreev is Director General of Gazprom Proyektirovaniye.
He was born in 1964 in Sterlitamak, Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
Oleg Andreev graduated from Tyumen Industrial Institute in 1987, majoring in Technology and Integrated Mechanization of Oil and Gas Field Development. In 2004, he earned an MBA degree from International Management Institute St. Petersburg. He also studied at Top Management Academy established by E.ON Ruhrgas and Wintershall.

Oleg Andreev has a PhD in Engineering. He is the author and co-author of 156 published research and technical papers and 58 inventions.
The All-Russian Research and Design Institute (VNIPIgeoterm) was established with the primary goal of providing research and design support to geothermal facilities.
A research and production center for hydromineral resources (Podzemgidromineral Research and Production Center) was set up under VNIPIgeoterm. The Center was meant to, among other things, conduct research, design and survey activities for the purposes of hydrocarbon development. Gazprom acquired 100 per cent of Podzemgidromineral Research and Production Center’s stock.
Gazprom started to consolidate its design assets with a view to improve the quality of its design services and shorten their delivery time. The Center was renamed as Gazprom Proyektirovaniye.
Gazprom Proyektirovaniye is focused on the following:
- preparation of pre-investment surveys, feasibility studies, and investment concepts;
- development of regulatory technical and pricing documentation;
- research and development activities, as well as provision of scientific and technical services in the field of geology, geophysics, and development and operation of gas, gas condensate, and oil, gas and condensate fields and underground gas storage facilities;
- design and survey works;
- development of natural gas, associated petroleum gas and gas condensate treatment, purification and processing technologies;
- design and manufacturing of oil and gas equipment;
- improvement of the cost estimation and pricing policies for the design, construction and overhauling activities at Gazprom’s facilities;
- gas supply to and gasification of Russian consumers and the Company’s international partners.
Gazprom Proyektirovaniye is mainly focused on designing oil and gas facilities. It is at the design stage that the fundamental technical solutions for and characteristics of a future facility, including those pertaining to environmental protection, are set out.
