Company history

1982

The All-Russian Research and Design Institute (VNIPIgeoterm) was established with the primary goal of providing research and design support to geothermal facilities.

1999

A research and production center for hydromineral resources (Podzemgidromineral Research and Production Center) was set up under VNIPIgeoterm. The Center was meant to, among other things, conduct research, design and survey activities for the purposes of hydrocarbon development. Gazprom acquired 100 per cent of Podzemgidromineral Research and Production Center’s stock.

2015

Gazprom started to consolidate its design assets with a view to improve the quality of its design services and shorten their delivery time. The Center was renamed as Gazprom Proyektirovaniye.

Present

Gazprom Proyektirovaniye has nine branches spread across Russia: the Makhachkala, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Podolsk, Saint Petersburg, Saratov, Stavropol and Tyumen Branches and the Tyumen Experimental Plant, as well as three offices based in the former Soviet Union. The branch network includes every city where the project organizations, which are undergoing restructuring, are registered. As of the end of 2017, the Gazprom Proyektirovaniye’s total headcount exceeded 4,500.
