Gazprom Sotsinvest implements a comprehensive program aimed at natural resource preservation and environmental protection in all areas of the company's operation.
Transplantation of rare plants in Krasnaya Polyana
As Sochi and the Krasnaya Polyana settlement are surrounded by the Sochi National Park and the State Natural Biosphere Reserve, the company’s projects are approached with special care there. Solutions to mitigate environmental impacts of construction activities are developed as early as at the design stage. For instance, by uniting two sports complexes into one facility, namely the Biathlon and Ski Complex on the Psekhako Ridge, the company has managed to make the construction area several times smaller.

The company also implements a program to transplant rare plants and resettle rare animals from construction sites. The surrounding environment is monitored jointly with experts from the National Park and the Reserve. In addition to the national environmental regulation, the company complies with the requirements of international environmental organizations.
