Vladimir Alfyorov is Director General of Gazprom Komplektatsiya.
Vladimir Alfyorov was born in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in 1972.
In 1994, he graduated from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Higher Maritime Engineering College, majoring in Electrical and Automated Ship Equipment.

In July 1964, the Soyuzgazkomplekt All-Union State Trust was established in the USSR with the purpose of supplying equipment and materials to gas and oil production facilities undergoing construction.
The Trust provided equipment and materials for the construction of facilities that were essential to the Soviet industry at the time, namely the Bukhara – Ural gas trunkline with 17 compressor stations and the Central Asia – Center trunkline with 19 compressor stations; the Bratstvo, Siyaniye Severa, Messoyakha – Norilsk and Astara – Karadag – Tbilisi – Yerevan gas pipelines; and the Druzhba and Ust-Balyk – Omsk oil pipelines.
In December 1991, the Trust was reorganized into the Gazkomplektimpex State Commercial Company, which was transformed into a limited liability company in July 1999.
The following gas trunklines were supplied with materials and equipment, built and put into operation: Urengoy – Pomary – Uzhgorod, Yamal – Europe, Blue Stream, SRTO – Torzhok, Petrovsk – Novopskov, Orenburg – Western Border of the USSR, Yamburg – Yelets, Yamburg – Tula, Yamburg – Western Border, Yamal – Western Europe, and Zapolyarnoye – Urengoy.
In February 2009, Gazkomplektimpex was renamed as Gazprom Komplektatsiya.
In the recent years, Gazprom Komplektatsiya has been engaged in major investment projects, such as Nord Stream, Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok, Bovanenkovo – Ukhta, Yamal Peninsula facilities, and the Kirinskoye gas and condensate field.
In July 2014, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Gazprom Komplektatsiya is a single-source provider for Gazprom’s subsidiaries and organizations. The company’s main objective is to ensure a timely supply of materials and equipment in the required amount, of the required quality and on favorable terms to Gazprom and its subsidiaries.
Gazprom Komplektatsiya provides more than 80 per cent of the materials and equipment required by Gazprom Group.
The company supplies upwards of 600,000 products, including the following:
- gas production and drilling equipment, specialized machinery;
- pipes and metalwork;
- petrochemical equipment;
- fuels and chemicals;
- construction materials and equipment;
- pipe fittings and gas valves;
- electric equipment and cables;
- monitoring and metering devices, communication equipment;
- gas compressors and accessories;
- pumps and compressors.
Since 2004, materials and equipment have been primarily supplied through tenders. All information on tenders is publicly available and promptly published at Gazprom’s corporate website in the Procurements section, as well as at the www.zakupki.gov.ru website.

Aiming to spur domestic manufacturing, Gazprom Komplektatsiya runs Gazprom’s program for assisting Russian companies in assimilating new product types within the import substitution program.

Since 2006, Gazprom Komplektatsiya has acted as the authorized organization for introducing Gazprom’s corporate standards for quality management systems (STO Gazprom 9000) and assessing the quality management systems of materials and equipment suppliers.

Today, Gazprom Komplektatsiya is a multi-faceted company supplying equipment for all of Gazprom’s major projects, including field pre-development in Western Siberia and Yamal Peninsula, the Kirinskoye gas and condensate field, Southern Corridor, the construction of such gas transmission systems as Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok, Dzhubga – Lazarevskoye – Sochi, Bovanenkovo – Ukhta, Ukhta – Torzhok, SRTO – Torzhok, Gryazovets – Vyborg, Pochinki – Gryazovets, Kasimovskoye UGS Facility – Voskresensk CS, etc.
Gazprom Komplektatsiya cooperates with various movements and organizations that help children, advance and promote sports, and support education. Since 2006, the company has been participating in the Books for Gift-Giving program of the Illustrated Books for Little Blind Children Foundation. The Foundation raises funds to publish special embossed books for blind and visually impaired children. These include fairy tales by Alexander Pushkin, Charles Perrault, and Hans Christian Andersen; Russian folk tales; pop-up books; and illustrated poems by Eduard Uspensky. The project is meant to help visually impaired children integrate into the cultural value system and to provide them with more opportunities for social adaptation.
As part of the Education national project, Gazprom Komplektatsiya backs the Gymnasium Union of Russia under the National Education Assistance Foundation, as well as the Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature’s program aimed at helping teachers and researchers promote the Russian language and literature in Russia and beyond.
Over the years of its existence, Gazprom Komplektatsiya has created a strong system of social support. The Collective Agreement is the main tool in the implementation of the social protection policy for the company’s employees and retirees. The document guarantees free and accessible health care to the company’s employees, provides excellent leisure opportunities for annual vacations, and guarantees a decent standard of living to retirees, along with a number of other social benefits. Thanks to its close and long-term cooperation with the Gazfond non-governmental pension fund and the SOGAZ insurance company, Gazprom Komplektatsiya deals with the whole range of social issues.
The company’s permanent trade union monitors the implementation of the Collective Agreement. In addition, the trade union committee secures health resort vouchers for employees and retirees, as well as runs health and recreation programs for children in summer and winter.
Gazprom Komplektatsiya pays special attention to promoting culture and sports among its employees. The trade union committee’s amateur football team annually participates in citywide and regional competitions and Spartakiada Games, while the company’s music ensemble performs at corporate events.
