Company history

Gazprom Flot is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. The company was established in 1994 with the purpose of implementing a unified technical policy in the development of gas and oil fields on the Russian continental shelf. Gazprom Flot is structured geographically, with its headquarters seated in Moscow and branch companies located in Murmansk, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

Major activities

The company’s major activities are as follows:

  • construction of exploratory and production wells on the continental shelf;

Mandatory environmental monitoring is carried out with regard to various environmental aspects in the course of prospecting and exploration on the continental shelf. The resulting data are promptly processed and analyzed by experts, who then produce environmental impact forecasts for individual areas.
