Management

Sergey Menshikov was born in 1968 in Grozny.

In 1992 he graduated from the Groznensky Petroleum Institute, majoring in Oil & Gas Production Centers and Compressor Stations Machines and Equipment.

Mr. Menshikov has been in the gas industry since 1994.

2001–2007

S.Menshikov was Chief Engineer of the Privolnensky Line Pipe Operation Center of Kavkaztransgaz.

2007–2008

Head of the Production Division for Operation of Booster Compressor Stations and Gas Refrigeration Stations of Nadymgazprom (present Gazprom Dobycha Nadym).

2008

Chief Engineer – First Deputy Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym, later – as Acting Director General.

In 2007 Gazprom Dobycha Nadym reached its 36th anniversary. The company’s development is closely related to the discovery and development of Medvezhye field, which is the largest gas field in the region. On December 1, 1971 Nadym Gas Production Directorate was founded. This date has brought a beginning of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym history. Later, the company promoted the development of Nadym town and Pangoda settlement.

Major Activities

Gazprom Dobycha Nadym carries out natural gas, gas condensate and oil production and treatment, performs exploration work and renders customer services at the investment and its own construction sites. Gazprom Dobycha Nadym is one of the three biggest natural gas producers of the gas industry in terms of produced gas volumes. The company plays a key role in the economy of not only the Tyumen region, but also the whole country. Every year Gazprom Dobycha Nadym recovers over 60 bcm of natural gas.

The main objective of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym is to ensure the efficient gas production at the Medvezhye, Yubileynoye and Yamsoveyskoye fields and high-quality preparation for the development of the Bovanenkovskoye, Kharasaveyskoye, and Novoportovskoye fields with appropriate development licenses. Besides, the company reckons on stepping up the exploration work in the Nadym-Pur-Taz region (Vostochno-Medvezhye and Pangodinskoye fields) and the Yamal region (Bovanenkovskoye, Kharasaveyskoye and Novoportovskoye fields).

The company contains 14 branches, including: Medvezhinskoye and Yamalskoye Gas Production Directorates, Nadym Oil and Gas Production Directorate, special subdivisions for ensuring operational communication, transportation, procurement and maintenance, as well as nonstandard equipment manufacturing, health care and cultural services provision.

Environmental Protection

Environmental protection is one of the top priority activities of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym. The activity’s main goal is to provide for secure natural gas production and transportation, sustainable use of natural resources, and environmental damage minimization.

The company carries out research and development activities, constantly controls the fields development process, and holds integrated geo-ecological monitoring of northern landscapes. The environmental measures preventing negative impact on nature have been developed and being implemented.

Social Policy

More than 8000 people are employed in Gazprom Dobycha Nadym.

The industrial communities at production and transportation sites are being properly settled for work and leisure activities. Employees and their families as well as retired pensioners are provided with comprehensive medical services, including health care centers, sanatoriums, and vacation hotels in Russia, FSU and other countries.

Every year Gazprom Dobycha Nadym provides charity support to non-governmental organizations, boarding schools, orphan homes, shelter-care facilities.

Amateur talent groups from Prometey and Yubileiniy Recreation Centers actively participate and win prizes at the Fakel Corporate Festival (among amateur groups and performers of Gazprom subsidiaries).

As part of the Gazprom to Children program, Gazprom Dobycha Nadym participates in different activities aimed at children support. Gazprom Dobycha Nadym has already reconstructed a sports hall and an open recreation ground of Nadym Secondary School #1. The company has bought the rock-climbing wall equipment, reconstructed the sports hall of Detsky Dom orphan home in Nadym, organized international boxing tournament dedicated to the first Director General Vladislav Strizhov, and there is more to come.

The sports team of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym annually participates and wins prizes in Gazprom Spartakiada Games.

Future Prospects

The future development of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym depends on the development of the Yamal Peninsula fields – Bovanenkovskoye and Novoportovskoye oilandgascondensatefields, Kharasaveyskoye gascondensate field. The company is also planning to develop small and medium size fields of the Nadym-Pur-Taz region.

Pursuing the stated objectives, the company carries out intensive geological exploration. Besides, Gazprom Dobycha Nadym faces new challenges concerned with the Medvezhye field development – utilizing low pressure gas and reservoir water containing iodine, bromine and other trace elements for industrial purposes.
