In 1989 the USSR Ministry of the Gas Industry was reorganized into gas concern named Gazprom.
1992
In Noveber 5 The Decree of the Russian Federation President on Reorganization of Gazprom Gas Concern into Russian Joint Stock Company Gazprom was signed. On February 17, 1993, the relevant Resolution of the Russian Federation was issued.
1993–1994
Over 1993 to 1994 Gaz de France and Gazprom signed the Agreement of cooperation. Gazprom and Neste signed the Agreement to supply natural gas to Finland within 20 year period.
1995
In May 31 The first Gazprom Annual Shareholders Meeting was held. The Meeting was attended by 1 thousand of shareholders and shareholders? representatives owning totally 67.85 per cent of votes. The participants set up a Board of Directors as well as Audit Commission. PricewaterhouseCoopers Company was appointed as the Company's auditor.
In August 1995 official presentation of the Gazprom Headquarters at Nametkina Street 16 was held.
